GBP futures: further consolidation likely

Open interest in GBP futures markets rose by around 2.2K contracts on Tuesday from Monday’s final 258,163 contracts, according to CME Group. In the same line, volume rose by around 29K contracts following two consecutive drops.

GBP/USD rangebound for the time being

Cable found some strong hurdle above 1.2900 the figure for the time being, although the lack of follow through coupled with choppy activity in open interest and volume leaves the pair to the mercy of extra consolidation in the near term.
