USD/CHF finds support following morning dip

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Having climbed into the European session to post a high at 0.8978, USD/CHF declined to post a low at 0.8953 before finding support at yesterday’s low of 0.8965.

USD/CHF tracking EUR/USD sentiment ahead of NFP’s

With a quiet calendar ahead of today’s NFP’s, USD/CHF has followed the usual negative correlations with EUR/USD in its morning price action. In terms of data, this morning saw an improvement in Swiss FX Reserves and CPI, but comments from the ECB’s Nowotny and Coeure caused spot to decline from its morning high. All eyes will be on NFP’s this afternoon, with analyst expectations of 180k, down from 204k previous.

What are today’s key USD/CHF levels?

FXstreet.com’s proprietary OB/OS and Trend Index’s are showing the pair to be neutral and slightly bearish respectively, while hourly RSI sits at 30 and flat. The hourly 200 SMA is at 0.9052 and sloping lower, while the daily 20 EMA is bearish at 0.9076. Today’s central pivot point is at 0.8991, with support below at 0.8930 (S1), 0.8896 (S2) and 0.8835 (S3) and resistance above at 0.9025 (R1), 0.9086 (R2) and 0.9120 (R3).
